ESPY’s Nominate Stephen J Wampler

On Wednesday July 13, Seth Myers will host the 2011 ESPY Award show, and this year, there’s a very special and inspirational athlete making waves, his name is Stephen J. Wampler.

Wampler has been nominated for an ESPY Award in the category of ‘Best Male Athlete with a Disability’. His disability? Cerebral Palsy. What did he do? Became the first person with Cerebral Palsy to ascend El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. According to his personal trainer ‘his climb was twice the height of the Empire state building, and it took him 6 days to complete. He even slept up there and still did interviews via cell phone.’
