Celebrities Take Part in Thirst Project
Last night, celebrities flocked to the Beverly Hilton Hotel for The Thirst Project 3rd Annual Gala presented by Take Part.
TakePart is a digital media organization and cause services agency that provides content, products and services that inspire, empower, and ignite people to take daily action in making the world better…we here at Athlebrities are big fans of the organization.
The charity event was hosted by Pauley Perrette (NCIS) and Kristen Vangsness (Criminal Minds-one of the best programs ever) and honored last year’s Thirst Gala host Chyler Leigh of Grey’s Anatomy and producer Nathan West. (For you Grey’s fans out there, Leigh unveiled her brand new short hair-photo below with West by Take Part).

In attendance were a slew of young Hollywood heavy-hitters including musician Lance Bass, Charisma Carpenter (Lying Game), Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf), Audrina Patridge (The Hills), Jason Ritter (Parenthood), Josh Sussman (Glee), Diane Neal (Law and Order), Michael Welch (Twilight series, SVU), Christian Serratos (Twighlight series) and many others…there might have been an athlete or two in there somewhere, but we felt it important to give proper shout-outs to those who are making the greatest impact on the Thirst Project.
The Thirst Project, a nonprofit committed to solving the world’s water crisis. About a billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water, and 4,400 children die every day from diseases caused by contaminated water. That’s approximately one child every 15 seconds. TakePart and the Thirst Project are looking to change that. During June, for every new subscriber on TakePart TV, they will give $0.25 toward their goal ($12k) needed to build a well in Swaziland, Africa.
*The event raised close to $200,000
