STOP KONY 2012
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MOVEMENTS OF OUR TIME.

Invisible Children’s latest film, KONY 2012, premiered ONLINE this week, serving as the cornerstone of a new joint campaign of Invisible Children, Resolve, and the Enough Project. The goal is to make this year Joseph Kony’s last as the leader of Africa’s longest running insurgency, the LRA.
For almost 25 years, the Lord’s Resistance Army and its leader Joseph Kony have wreaked havoc on civilian communities across central Africa. What began in 1987 as a rebellion based in northern Uganda has morphed into a regional insurgency that now terrorizes civilians in northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, and eastern Central African Republic.
The LRA has no clear political agenda. This ruthless militia directs its violence towards civilians and attacks local communities—massacring innocent people, razing villages, and abducting children and forcing them to serve as soldiers, porters, and sex slaves.
Together, we CAN STOP KONY in 2012. Twitter is alive with the movement, with supportive Tweets coming from LUOL DENG, Katie Couric, Chris Brown, and many others-so much so, that within 2 minutes there were over 300 #STOPKONY2012 hash-tagged new tweets.
