WHAT A MAN
I’ll say it again, what a man, what a man…what a mighty good beast. After skippering my libido and Italy to a World Cup victory, fabulous Fabio Cannavaro has received yet another award. This time our Italian spitfire was named World Soccer’s World Player of the Year, making him only the second defender to win this honor in the awards’ 25-year history. (Italian beast Paolo Maldini was the first in 2004).

Cannavaro clutched 40 percent of the votes by readers of World Soccer magazine, thus proving that not all futbol fans are rejects. Our beast, who won the Golden Ball Award three weeks ago, is up for another nod. He is one of three hotties up for the FIFA World Player of the Year award, which will be announced on Monday.

MARCUS VICK AND HIS KIDS

Oh yes, more trouble for Marcus Vick. After dodging jail time in 2004 for encouraging teenaged girls to ‘strip’ for him, Marcus Vick is at it again. This time, a 17-year-old girl claims she had an almost two-year sexual relationship with the naughty Dolphin and has filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexual battery upon a minor, fraud and other charges. Apparently the ‘relationship’ ended in December 2005, but it took her a while to figure out that he was full of shit. Her attorney said: “She’s maybe seeing this thing in a different light now, I think she’s now seeing that he misused her.” Huh? “As a direct and proximate result of Marcus Vick’s unlawful sexual intercourse with Jane Doe, the plaintiff suffered, and will continue to suffer, psychological trauma associated with the child sexual abuse perpetrated by defendant Marcus Vick,” the lawsuit states. Huh? The lawsuit also says Vick wanted her to have sex with other men and contends that Vick offered her alcohol and marijuana several times. Sounds pretty fun to me…so this is wrong why? Ah, yes, because allegedly Vick told he loved her, wanted her to have his child and that having a sexual relationship with someone her age was acceptable. I ain’t saying she’s a gold digger….

TARGET WORLD CHALLENGE

I love this event for several reasons…mainly, its hosted by Tiger Woods, ya got Adam Scott and his fine-self hitting it in the hole, John Daly and his beer belly chain-smoking on the greens, and I grew up in Thousand Oaks-where the tourney is being held. It’s just too bad Geoff Ogilvy isnt enjoying the game as much as I’m enjoying the hotties…speaking of John Daly, the Taylormade endorser is expanding his role with the company as an adviser on various business and equipment issues. Daly: “I’ve never had a company that lets me have so much input. To me, making sales calls is a lot of fun.” TaylorMade Golf President & CEO said, “This is the most unique relationship I know in sports. We have a John Daly Day each October, and it’s a paid holiday for the employees. Next week John is going to play Santa Claus at the company Christmas party.” Oh the visual…

TIKI BARBER MOVING ON

We’re still going to have one Barber on the field, so what’s the big deal? Tiki Barber is retiring after this season and four networks are already chasing him down for his potential in their news or sports divisions. Several sources claim Barber might possibly join ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘20/20.’ The sexy NFLer solidified his status as an Athlebrity years ago, and a crossover from the field directly to a network is unprecedented. Barber currently has deals with Cadillac, Johnston & Murphy, PowerBar, Reebok, Dish Network, Foot Locker, Steiner Sports, McDonald’s and watchmaker Audemars Piguet.

GOD HELP ME

Melo you better watch out, I’m coming for ya. When I need an extra boost of estrogen, I need look no further than my Melo. The Nuggets nugget has donated a $1.5M grant to help fund the Carmelo Anthony Youth Development Center in Baltimore. There’s nothing else to say, except Delinda is coming for ya Melo.

TOP TEN NBA PLAYER SALARIES FOR THE ’06-07 SEASON

Just in case you’re wondering who the highest paid babe in the NBA is, here’s a list of the top NBA salaries for the 06-07 season. Topping the list at number one is sexy lupine beast Kevin Garnett at $21M, next comes good guy Chris Webber at $20.7M; Big daddy Shaq earned $20M; Michael Finely at $19M, Jason Kidd and Jermaine O’Neal each earned $18.1M, Kobe made $17.7M, Tim Duncan $17.4M, Allen Iverson $17.2M, and Stephon Marbury $17.2M. And just for the record, don’t cringe at these salaries, most hotties donate big time, especially Kevin Garnett, so the more they make, the more they give away. What more could you want from our big-hearted beasts? And no, the above photos have absolutely nothing to do with the list, just made me wonder how the hell I get a job in the locker room…
