Hot pro athletes news: Roger Federer, James Blake, Lleyton Hewitt, Camilo Villegas, Pat Tilman, Mark Cuban, Kirby Puckett, Marcus Vick, Shaun Alexander

Tennis god Roger Federer is close to signing a lifetime deal with Wilson Sporting Goods worth $2M annually, doesn’t sound like much, however, it’s more than any tennis player has ever received for endorsing a racket. Federer has “always played with Wilson,” but his prior deal with the company expired in December.

Another tennis hottie deserves Athlebrity love for his sexy performance this weekend. James Blake, shown here, celebrates by throwing his wristband into the crowd after defeating an equally hot Lleyton Hewitt in the final match of the Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas.

Tiger Woods won the Ford Championship at Doral in Florida. Big surprise, I know. The best part of the event? Following behind Tiger, and finishing second, was this hot Columbian athlete.

Camilo Villegas. The smoking hot Columbian already has a solid following in the golf world. He may have finished second in the event, but first in “the hottest golfer on the course.” I think the pictures speak for themselves…

On a more serious note, the U.S. Army is opening a criminal investigation into the “friendly fire” death of former NFLer Pat Tillman to “examine whether negligent homicide charges should be brought against members of his Ranger unit who killed him in Afghanistan nearly two years ago.”

And no you were not hallucinating…. Mavericks Owner Mark Cubans production company was up for seven Academy Awards for two movies last night. “Good Night and Good Luck” and “Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room,” obviously, he didn’t win. Cuban left his team’s home game against the Suns in the first half yesterday to fly in his personal jet to L.A. for the awards show. During the flight, Cuban was interviewed via phone by ABC who asked if he was keeping up with the Suns-Mavericks game. Cuban: “I have DirecTV on (the plane), so I’m watching it as we speak.” Dah!

Sad news today, Hall of Fame outfielder Kirby Puckett was in critical condition ealier this morning after undergoing surgery for a stroke, but passed away this afternoon.

The still very hot Puckett, a 10-time All-Star center fielder for the Minnesota Twins, suffered the stroke Sunday morning at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was transported to Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, then airlifted to Scottsdale Osborne Hospital, where he underwent the surgery. Our thoughts and prayers are with he and his family. Puckett is perhaps the hottest and most popular player in franchise history, he played his entire career with the Twins (1984-95) and led them to two World Series titles. Puckett was selected to 10 consecutive All-Star Games from 1986-95 and won six Gold Gloves and five Silver Slugger Awards. Thanks for all the great memories Kirby.

Mensa reject and Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick pleaded guilty Monday to “traffic charges” that contributed to his dismissal from the team. Hottie has to pay a whopping fine of $236 for driving 38 mph in a 25 mph zone without a valid license on Dec. 17.

“It’s just a traffic situation,” said Vick, who made himself eligible for the NFL draft in April. Vick was kicked off Virginia Tech’s football team in January after a series of problems- including his actions in the Gator Bowl, when he stomped on the calf of a defensive player. A few days later, he was arrested and charged with pulling a gun on three teenagers during an altercation in a restaurant parking lot. (Court date: March 13). Marcus Vick continued to embarrass himself and his hot older brother, Athlebrity Michael Vick, when he got convicted of serving alcohol to underage girls during the 2003 school year. After his license was taken away for reckless driving and oooh! marijuana possession in 2004, the University president warned Vick that additional problems would get him yanked, spanked and off the team.

All smiles is oh-my-god he-is too-hot Running back Shaun Alexander.

The Seahawks reportedly signed this sexy beast to an eight-year, $62 million deal Sunday night, including over $15 million in bonuses for the first year. Yummy!

The NBA and Global Wireless Entertainment launched a line of NBA team-branded protective skins for over 500 electronic devices.

The hot skins are available at Cellfan.com. The best part of this deal? Skins featuring sexy NBA athlebrities will be available soon!
